Estimated time
: It takes only 35 minutes in actual walking time until the beach of Klisídi. The way back takes a little more time, so that the AWT amounts to a total of 1h20. We walked from 2pm until 6pm, a nice afternoon walk ...

Route description
: (0h00) You start in the main street, the Plágia, next to the restaurant Liotrívi (sign Plágia), and you follow this street to the right (when facing the restaurant). When you get near the small school and the bakery, you take the paved street going down to the left, and after 2 minutes, you arrive at a house and a concrete road that descends to the left. It veers right and gets to another concrete road that you follow for a few moments to the right.

(0h04) Where the asphalt begins, there is a concrete path that winds down to the left, you zigzag in wide turns, with a deep valley on the left. Towards the end of the descent, you can clearly see the obvious path going up on the other side of the asphalt road, to the left of the power plant.

(0h23) Once at the bottom, you go left for 100 meters, then you take the path that goes up to the right (hiking sign): at the beginning, it is concrete, but becomes stony and further on, it rises above the beautiful coast .

The nice coast between Agios Nikólaos and Klisídi.

After 8 minutes, you get to an asphalt road, which you follow for a short time to the right - fast enough, you can take a small concrete road on the right. Later on, it becomes a staircase shaded by tamarisks, that finally ends on the lovely sandy beach, where tamarisk provide you shade. (0h36)

(0h36) The way back is obvious: you go up the stairs and you follow the small road up to the asphalt road, where you take a left of course. Shortly after you can take a left again onto the small concrete road leading down to the harbor (sign "port"). This road eventually becomes a rocky trail that rises again and offers you a beautiful view of the harbor. You turn right and descend in this way until the asphalt road leading to Chóra. You go left, but 15 meters before reaching the edge of the water, and just after the power plant, you will find the concrete stairs, which is the beginning of the way back to Chóra.

[But first, you should of course have a look at the quiet harbor of Agios Nikólaos - you can have a drink in the cafe Popys. After that, you should retrace your steps up the trail in front of the plant-station.]

(0h50) The concrete path – once a kalderími? – climbs fast: first there are 40 broad steps, and then you describe a wide right turn. After 12 minutes, the small road turns sharply left and you get higher and higher in long turns.

Once arrived almost at the top, you keep to the right, but a little further, you take the concrete path that goes up to the left. The trail eventually becomes a paved street leading to the main street, the Plágia, right in front of the school. On the left, the street leads to the kástro and the square in front of the church, on the right, you can follow the Plágia to the restaurant Liotrívi, your starting point. (1h20)
